1 front tooth=about 3 rear. fronts are cheaper. so id experiment with that first.

i'd try just the 16t and see what you think before you change the rear.

How many teeth do you have in front now? That's what we need to know to let you know anything. Also, you don't have to change both sprockets at once, you can change one or the other. Like it was said earlier..I'd start with a change in the front b/c it's cheaper.

I'd go 36t rear for more speed to be safe, if you go up to a 16t front you will likely have to remove the case saver. If the chain snaps, you will likely have a busted up motor.

I have a 16 and stock 40 in the rear and there is a big difference over the stock 15/40.

P.S. You dont have to remove the case saver to install the 16.

So I would assume that the difference is a good thing?

Can you describe it? are 1,2,3 more useable?

Any dune riding?

I have tried going smaller one on the front and liked the power. Don't have much for power adders though.

Thanks.

I forgot it depends on the year:

Stock gearing:
1999-2004 have 15t front, 38t rear
2005 up have 14t front, 39t rear
