Pesky Z-400 Again...

I lost to this dude the first time we ran 2 weeks ago but I since put a Sparks X-6 Pipe on my 400 EX so I couldn't wait to see what was in store for this guy. Here are the stats: Me 6' 205 lbs, stock 400 EX with x-6 pipe. He's 5'9" 170 lbs Z-400 bone stock. In the first race I had a 14 tooth front while he was stock and he blew my doors off. This time I put on my 15 tooth, the X-6, rejetted the carb and we made a blast. I hit first and a split second afterwards the chase was on! I held a one bike lead through 3rd gear and when we went through 5th gear he was within 1/2 bike of me. I was as happy as s#it! The pipe made a big improvement over the stock system. He was pounding his chest talking crap that he coulda run me down but little does he know, my FCR 39MM carb and Ignition Advance Key will be here Tuesday. His *** is history then! I can't wait!

When you get your carb on there you are gonna rip him apart.

When he gets a pipe and filter you will still smoke him with your carb. But when he gets a carb you are gonna have a good race.


Z400s are nice quads. No match for my 400 tho.

ACDC: This is true. I don't know what his plans are but I'm in line for a Sparks 465 motor. So win or lose, I'm going to be **** to deal with. I'm still tinkering with the idea of Nitrous, but without access to a dyno those plans are on hold.

man i wish i could have some fun competition like that. the closest person i have dragged raced to is a like a 92' DR 350 4-stroke on a main road. he beat me because it was before i got my 400ex rejetted. after i get it rejetted do you think i could beat him? i have a FMF powercore 4 silencer, a pro design air filter system, and a 14t sprocket. His 350 is all stock except i think it might be bored out to 375.

Well, it's like this Quadracer... Dude went out and spent over $5,500 on his Z-400 to ensure that he would be "The Man" in our neck of the woods but guess what? It ain't happenin'! My raggedy old '99 EX has a motor which has been beat to death and is 2 years overdue for a valve job and new rings at the least and I'll still give him a fit! Yea, I have a pipe so you say that's not fair? Life isn't fair... That's why when the UPS truck leaves my crib tomorrow I'll be bolting on enough HP to send dude home packing on Sunday afternoon. If he wants to run with this bad boy he's gonna need to spend a few Ben Franklins... You see Quadracer, here's my purpose in the ATV community: To ruin the weekends of the guys that don't ride red. Sparks 465, here I come!
