Pappy, I shipped out my CR250 chassis and subframe today via USPS Priority Mail. You should see it on Wednesday. Please fix the dented bottom frame rail and the wear spots from the pegs. The areas to repair are marked, along with one factory indentation that does NOT get filled or repaired. Please match up the white as close as you can. Thanks.

Just wanted to make sure it got there and see if you had a chance to take a look at the places that need fixed. Thanks.

Just wanted to see how it's going with the CR chassis, Pap. Were you able to get a close match on the white before it was sent to the stripper? Don't forget the one factory "dimple" on the top of the lower right side tube doesn't get filled.

Yep, no worries on the factory dent

The white wont be an issue. As long as its a true white (no eggshell or off white) we should be good. I looked at another white framed CR a week or so and looked under a sticker where it hadnt faded and I dont see any issues with using a standard white.

Just keeping you in the loop.

Once I got the frame stripped, those dents are a bit more then they first appeared. I will be taking it later this week to my friend who is a body man and we will see if we can use a dent puller so I dont have to fill so much.

Just an update ....

I just finished 2 hours on that frame rail:p That crap is paper thin. Dent puller just pulled through from it being so rusted inside, so I had to over weld and sand it down.

Im heading back out to work on the peg area.

This is becoming a quest:p I have it stripped back down but have no choice but to use the filler and recoat. That area is just paper thin and no real way to fix it. Right now the filler should work with no issues, but if I try closing the pinholes with weld or brazing, it will cause even more problems.

Sorry for the delay, but it has to leave here when I am satisfied with the work:D

Sounds like you're on a mission Pap.:D If I keep sending you stuff like this, you're gonna ban me from powdercoating. I remember you had an issue with my 450R too. Take your time, if you're happy with it when it's finished, there no doubt I'll be pleased.

Ok, recieved the stuff in I need to move forward. If all goes well, I will button this puppy up early next week...it will take a day to let the filler set up and then I can sand and re-coat!

Wow:eek2: This is some hard core stuff:p

I have the skim coat on now and its looking pretty good. LOTS of hand sanding but WTH, its good for me:D I will go back at it tomorrow after it has cured overnight.
