yeah thats not supposed to be on there. use a punch and a hammer to get it off. or put beads on weld on there to hammer on. Either way maintain your fourwheeler in the future

That looks like the sleeve that sits inside the bearing carrier. Not sure how that came out with the axle, never seen that happen.

thats what i was wondering. its really tight on the axle too. like it shrunk on it.

I would use a cutting wheel on a grinder.

My guess is the axle is fooked and that sleeve is a join or covering a weak spot.

heat it up, put the axle in a vise, and twist that peice with a big pipe wrench or something. it'll come off. keep your parts greased from now on

Not that expensive either, just depends on your outlook.

A new billet carrier with double row bearings and the sleeve included is under $150.... If he can get that old sleeve off, which I'm sure he can, that's all he needs to buy. If he needs an axle an extended G-force is only $199 new with lifetime warranty. For under $350 it can be fixed using NEW parts.... cheaper if he finds some good used ones in the for sale section.

yea the sleeve mover around. its not stuck to the axle but right next to the grooves for the rotor hub the axle gets slightly bigger. thats y i cant get it off. i am gonna cut it off tonight after i get off work and make sure the axle isnt damaged. I am gettin a Billet carrier with double row bearings because the carrier is messed up pretty bad. Hopefully my girl gets it for me for christmas!!! lol:D

Try a little heat and a punch before cutting on it.

No what has happened here is the movement of the rotor hub has caused the metal to "bunch up" on the end of the splines. Take a file and carefully go around the axle right where it gets "bigger" and file it down, the sleeve should slip over that axle with no problems. It happened to me before on my stock 450 axle. I beleive on mine it was where the circilp on the axle had caused the metal to do this, just touched it with a file all around and it slipped right off.
