just curious if ya'll thought this was a decent camera?? the Canon PowerShot SX 110 IS. My girl friend is looking for a good camera to get for christmas. she doesnt need anything super fancy but something good enough to take good clear pics out side, in side, and pics of me ridding.

Youll probably have to hit a few photography forums for some reviews.

i think this would fit your need just as well for less and it has 1mega pixle more which will make the pictures clearer. The only drawback is that the zoom wont be as clear since it is 4x digital (which can be compared to zooming into a picture on a computer) and 4 times optical (more optical the better) but at 10 mega pixles the pictures will be clear.

the one drawback to that camera above is it dose not come with a rechargeable battery

but it all depends how much into photography your gf is into
