well ceramic header paint is good to 1200 degrees. You can buy spray cans of it in automotive stores for a couple bucks. I know they make black but i think its a flat or satin black not gloss.

A normal running quad that is jetted right has an exhaust temprature of 600 to 800 degrees. So it has to be paint that is in that range or higher.

Or if you took the center out and had the canister powder coated i really dont think a place would charge you that much at all. Probably about 20 to 50 bucks at most. and you can choose from like hundreds of colors.

Well I just got home and read the reply, I picked up a can of 500 deg paint, either i will take it back or try it on the muffler body, not sure if that part of the muffler with get over 500 deg.

500 deg is enough for a muffler body , just not enough for the headpipe
