I am debating between three tires for my 2007 400ex. So far i have got the 6 ply razr's, the kenda bear claws, or the ITP holeshot XCR'S. Which one would you guys recommend if i am riding in light to moderate mud, woods, and on the road.

i have looked at that thread and personally i do not think it is much of a help. Someone is saying he likes razr's just cause the pros use them thats not helping me any. I would like someones opinion who owns a 400ex and is doing close to the same riding as me.

I have the Holeshots XCR's on mine.
They get good grip and they also slide real nice.
My boy has the Razors II on his and he likes them also.
I think the Holeshots are a lighter tire but seem to have a softer compound then the Razors II.
I don't see much differance in wear between the two of them though.
The 6 ply would be a good choice if you don't like messing with flat tires.
It also seems to me that the Holeshots might clean out a little better when packed with mud.
As far as riding on the road. I don't think the Holshots or the Razors would be a very good choice as they will wear out very quickly.

Ive used every tire on my 400ex, 450r and our 300ex.

They all run Maxxis razrs now. there just that good.

For you 400ex i reccomend Maxxis Razr 2's 21/7/10 for the front and Maxxis Razrs 20/11/9 for the rear. You will love these tires.

I know the thread didnt help you out.....I just wanted to show you the craziness people go through to defend a particular tire.

I have an 08 and went with Holeshsots and T( pro rims. Price was right for the front and rear set through motosport.com.

Definitely good for trail, woods and mud riding that i have found. Hope this helps.....

Not sure how easy to find they are anymore, but the rear tires i have i absolutely love, Bandit XC's.

I do all mud and trails riding and can say that razr2 fronts and razr rears are the way to go.

I have regular razrs on my 300ex and they are ok. when i had my 400ex i ran razr 2's up front and holeshot HD's in the back and that tire set up was amazing.
