Xtreme finally gets some good national publicity in a major magazine. Dirt Wheels Magazine had a writeup on a race built 125 from Triumph Motorsports. They gave the bike a very good rating stock but admitted that it did need some major improvements to be a national race contender. In the article it stated that after all of the mods the bike was just as good as a Cobra and, you still had money in your pocket as opposed to purchasing a Cobra itself. The motormods they had from Triumph Motorsports are pretty high compared to those I got for my sons bike (cams, portwork, bigger valves, etc...) Get the latest edition of the mag. It's a nice article on this quad and it shows that this bike really has some potential ;) .

It's a good article, but Triumph motorsports are not planning on keeping the motor in it.I contacted them because I thought it looked like the Gen 3 motors.I was right, That motor can never be made to run with the big dogs. It has both the cent.clutch and the shifting clutch as one unit on the crank. It is way to heavy and causes slower accel. I know, I have one on the bench. No good way to modify and still retain a clutch to shift.
Triumph is going to put in a 150 manual clutch motor.Thats OK if your running in Outlaw classes, but for our races and National level stock classes you have to stay at 125cc and auto shift.
I still believe the Dual Clutch motors with the DD kit is the way to go. Don't worry RIDE1ROB we are close. I have 2 kits ready on my bench. As soon as T-bolt and I work out a final agreement we should be ready to go with the kits.
My boy ran the National at Sunset Ridge on his Typhoon. It was his first race on the New motor with the DD kit. He took 2nd on the hole shot, So I knew these motors are worth building. But he did not have the experiance or suspension to hold on very long. We didn't do practice the day before and the 2nd Moto got rained out. 14th overall .He's had alot of practice since and next seasons Nationals look very promissing.
I had a couple of the Senior class riders take my boys for a ride to fully test what these motors are capable of. They came back with all smiles. They loved it .

One of those kits should be on it's way to me and not sitting on your bench :cuss: LOL. Keep me updated on what's going on with the setup. And as soon as you know I need a price quote.
