any idea the required shock lngth?

Houser used to make mgc + 3/4 long travel a-arms, you can still find them from stores that have stock, now all you can get is +1 from houser like that.

SMC Fabrication will make whatever width you want!!

I have the SMC fabrication +.5 arms. Mine are the hi-clearence xc ones. I beleive they use a 18.5" shock. They will make whatever length you want. I have raced on them for over 2 years with no trouble at all.
