I didnt see anything on your post about checking your carb. Maybe your not getting any fuel? Just a thought.

timing is still good in it chain isnt new but its still in correct timing i dont know much bout 4 stroke carbs ive never taken one apart how can i tell if its gettin gas to the piston or if its flowing out of the carb cause its goin into the carb idk if its leaving the carb tho, i remember when it died i checked the air filter and it had fell off the boot idk if that could have been the cause or not ???

Assuming that you were trying to start for a while and it didnt start, check the plug. The plug should be wet from you flooding it. If its not, then I would say you have a carb issue.

Its a Mikuni BSR36mm if its the stock carb. First you need to remove the four screws that hold the fuel bowl on. Then you will see the jets. The main jet is the one with the plastic cup wrapped around it. The pilot is the one with a metal sleeve , the other is your starter jet thats directly if front of it(side of it). I would start by removing all those jets and make sure they are open.Run a piece of wire thru it(bread twist or pipe cleaner). Then you should continue sticking every hole you can find on that carb with the wire. Now, you can soak it with carb cleaner first, then start poking, or poke first, then soak it. That your choice. Finally, get some compressed air and proceed to shoot air into every little hole you can find. I have a compressor, but I found that a can of computer keyboard compressed air works best because you can put that lovely little red straw thing right into the holes. Reassemble and hope for the best:D . I failed to mention that you might also want to soak it for a day or so, thats your choice also.Good luck.

thnx but its gonna be impossible to remove the bowl 2 screws are rounded out, the choke was a b***h to get out it was seized up in there, i had a ? how does these carbs work since it isnt like the other carbs where the throttle cable opens the slide with the needle on these it opens a butterfly type piece in front of the slide b4 goin into the intake

Its a CV type carb, it works off vacuum. Did you try to use vise grips to get the screws off? Maybe a dremel to put slots on the bolt head .Then you could use a flat head screwdriver. If all that fails, remove the top two screws that secure the black plastic top on. Remove the plastic cap, spring, and the rubber diaphram along with the needle. Get a metal coffee can and soak the entire carb in Seafoam or carb cleaner for a few days, then blow it from the exterior port holes and hope for the best.

i thought it was something like that..but i tried usin needle nose vise grips and no luck either..ill try using bigger ones i dont have a dremel to use on it my luck it wont even be the carb causing the problem haha...since the airfilter had fallen off do u think it may have got some dirt in the carb and stopped up a jet

God only knows what got in there. Go to the "BEST AIRBOX SETUP" thread posted on here. Cataway posted a good pic of the inside of the carb.

Yea, Im sure there is something in there. But you really need to get those bolts off. I orginally tried needle nose vise grips, but they kept slipping off. So I got the big boys out and got the screws off. Go down to Lowes or Home Depot and get some allen head screws to put back in there.

If you still can't get the carb to work, then give him your FCR 39mm off your YFZ:D

Yea, the two wires have to be wired up together to complete the circuit. My manual shows black and white wire to gray wire. Does that sound like the wires you have ?

yeh they were hooked up to the black blob but the white/black wire that goes to the button to start it got pulled lose from the button causing the button not to work he didnt know that till i opened it up and seen the wire unhooked he jumped it off the solenoid with a screwdriver lol but now i got it turning over using the 2 wires that goes to the button:D
