I think you'd be better off spending the extra money for a well known HC.

ditto never saw where it says hot cams...it just says stage 2

Sorry, I edited the post...... From what I've read on it, it isn't a bad cam at all. I was just trying to let people know where they can get a quality cam and save alot of $$$. It is almost identical to the stage2 Hotcam, key word "Almost", being a Magnum cam. Afterall, not everyone races their 400ex...

I have a stage 2 magnum cam wished I would have saved a little more money and bought a HC couldnt realy tell the difference between magnum and stock.Currently saving up for HC stage 3,heard its pretty nice.

are you running a high compression piston? You may actually lose power with a cam and stock compression.

The cam increases the duration the intake and exhaust valves are open thus lowering the compression.

So say stock is 9.1:1, a stage 2 cam will make it more equivalent to 7.9:1
The second one is an estimate from what ive seen.

yes its a CP 11.1 piston 460 stroker motor its not finished got some stripped valve cover bolts ,thought i would wait till I got that stage 3 and fixed the stripped bolts to finish it.
