Well I figured I'd take a few before winter tear down mode goes into effect...

What are your plans?

Nice bike btw. Sometimes I wish I rode bikes instead just because of how much cheaper they are.

Well I have shroud graphics for it, but they're a christmas gift haha, so It'll be a month for them. I have new tires, but I'm not going to put them on until right before the first race. Sending my suspension out this winter for a revalve/respring, my one sponsor is going to buy me some preprints, and if I have the extra cash pro wheel rims, and have pappy powerder coat some stuff for me. Probably going to tear it mostly apart and clean/regrease everything so it's fresh. If I need bearings (I shouldn't this is the first full season this bike has ever had!) I'll replace those too. Interally I might throw in an 08 13.5:1 piston and call it a day. Next winter the head, cam, and carb will be going out to williamsmotowerx for head work and new valves.

I invested some money into me for next season. Two new sets of gear, two new pairs of boots, possibly another helmet, and a few misc pair of goggles. I want to pick up a new thor force (don't NEED it right now, but I'd like to have it.) All depends on what the budget looks like. My cousin, I, and my buddy were talking about splitting an enclosed trailer as well, so who knows. I also gotta save up some cash for when my tax return comes so I can FINALLY put my other axles in the truck.

haha whenever you want! If gas prices stay low I'd like to make it up to rocket a few times if you want to go. Kinda hoping wolfmann's will open backup, but I'm not holding my breath. Still up in the air if I'm going to run ama this year or not. I will be running some of the local races spring series' though. Depending how this season goes, I may think about moving to B next year. For what races I did do in C, I did fairly well.

I'd be up for sure if I didn't have to work. It's rather warm out today compared to the 20's we've been having the other week. Just don't sell your bike just yet so we can get some ride time in next season!

almost bought a crf... but then realized why would I want a bike that is always broken, needed new valves, and out of commission all the time... :p

As far as 250f's, no way can you beat the reliabilty of the yamaha's.

The weekend of the 13/14? If I get my buck by then I may possibly entertain the idea of heading up on the 13th.

I work sunday, but what are you doing during the week? My finals are this monday/tuesday, then I'm done for this week and going hunting hopefully that wednesday. If you're free saturday and I am too maybe we'll try to hook up if it's not 10 below zero.

eh might have to scratch that idea lol. I can deal with snow, but ice is no fun for me, especially on an mx track lol.

Too bad we don't have any heated indoor tracks around lol

haha no way. If I get another quad it'll probably have a twisty on it too.

2 saturdays ago when i was there, there was some guy who used to race pro-am and qualiified for pro nationals on a quad in the mid 90s. now hes riding a suzuki i think it was a 250f and it has a thumb throttle.

It's a lot of work to hook up on a new four stroke, especially the ones with two cables.

I dunno ever since I went to a twist, I feel like I have much better throttle control. Sure it took a little getting used to, but everyone hypes it up like you're on a wild crazy bull ride with a twisty. I like them!

Are you talking about a twist on a quad or twist on a bike? Two totally different things. I couldn't ride a twist on a quad to save my life but on a bike it's completely comfortable and normal. A bike you are hugging it with your legs so you can relax a lot more on the bars.

the twist throttle was the thing i was worried about not getting used to when i switched to a bike, but i like it a lot better now after i got used to it. you can get on the throttle a lot smoother and on a bike your always at risk of getting on it too much around a turn or something and having the back end wipe out so its nicer and your not nearly as choppy. i think if i would get another quad i probably wouldn't put a twist throttle on it:ermm:

Yah I'd probably put a twist on anything I'd buy from here on out. I like having the extra throttle control.
