what is the better ignition the ftz drag ignition or the 2001 cr 250 ignition
i do general riding bit of every thing really
i want some thing that revs nice and fasts and starts good as my 350 r is a bit of a pain in the *** to start nearly broke my leg trying to kick it over but it has a weighted fly wheel that is supposidly wired up to run trail tech lights and charge a battery to run a turbo bought it frm eschonda on ebay
so what u guys recomend

The FTZ is allot of money and it is a pain in the butt. I am running a 2001 CR250R ignition on my drag bike and one on my trail bike. The CR ignition is easier to stall the motor if you are not used to it. The CR starts easy also.

starts 2nd kick ftz you need to run a battery its a battery fired ign cr is easy hook up and good hp gains i advanced mine on a dyno and picked up 7 hp

i love my cr250 ignition,it revs fast and spools up nicely for the hills with little or no run.It can stall easier until you get used to it but overall,thats not really a issue at all.I will do woods racing with it as well as mx:)

Can you run lights with cr ignition? If so what does that cost? How much does it cost to buy the cr ignition?

It wont run lights stock,there is a aftermarket stator to run lights though for under $100 i believe.I had no need for lights.

best results is the 01 cr 250 esr sells 579.00 but you can buy theyre adapter plate and buy all the other stuff rfom honda

you can get the cr ignition for half of what esr wants if you do your homework.;) Any year from 92 up to 01 will work.the 01 has the best ignition curve depending on who you talk too but they all rip from my experience.I have a 96 setup
