I saw a plastic skid plate for mini quads on ebay for $10... Anyone ever try it? Did it hold up? My sons 90 eton has the small go-cart tires on it to save weight and it gets hung up alot but I just don't think , plastic would hold up for very long. Jerry

Got a link?

Depends on the plastic and how hard he rides. I watched a friend trash a stock YFZ 450 plastic skid and derail his chain this weekend as he caught a stump.

But I run plastic belly skidds on the competition Rock buggy.

UHMW plastic:
Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene is light weight (12% lighter than ABS), has a high tensile strength and is as simple to machine as wood. UHMW is self lubricating, shatter resistant, and abrasion resistant as well. White Colors.
