Tough Decision, 2005/ 2003

I'm looking for a 400 EX and came up with these two finalists. Is there a big difference between 2003 and 2005? what one would you buy?

03 doesnt have reverse

Yeah, but i can deal without reverse. 03 has new tires, and nerf bars. nice perks but also 2 years older. what one would you buy?

2003 if reverse wasnt an issue. that thing looks clean.
make sure you ride it before you hand the guy the cash

I wouldnt pay 2500 for an 03.....you should be able to find one for like 1500

you can tell that 03 was taken care of wish my bike looked that clean lol even with new plastics.

I would probably go with the 03 out of the two but I would keep looking around, patience is the key to a good deal. Neither of those are real eye poppers. I paid $2900 for my 05. Mint condition, super low hours. It came with risers, 3 sets of bars, 2 sets of brand new grips, 2 sets of rear tires, full chassis skid, a brand new set of spare fenders, nerfs, a bumper, renthal sprockets and spares, and more. Just before that I called on an 03 with all of the bolt ons, hmf pipe, jetted, k&n, tires, rims, jerfs, timing key, clutch, etc. It was mint condition for $2600 but was sold:mad:

get the 03 from what i can see it has itp front rims, new looking itp tires all around, ac pro peg nerf bars which is a major pluss,heel guards, belly and swing arm aluminum skids super clean but yah it dont have reverse so what with my ex i dont have it and will never wish to have it, and so what if it an 03 doesnt mean it was bought then, motor looks like it would be just as good as any other, from the outside wear, but of coarse test ride if possible
