Well, I went through about $150 in extra parts before i realized why I had no spark.. It came down to 3 wires!
The short summary is ground everything , the clutch, the neutral, and the reverse wires then ohm should all read 0..
Tools, OHM meter can get at radio shack for $15
All “OHM’ing” is done at the harness side connector of the reverse inhibtor where you would plug into the reverse inhibitor. If you are not grounded properly you will read anything other than 0 continuity
Steps for my 300ex. If you have anything other get a wiring diagram or trace your wires.
Clutch switch
connect Dark Green (ground) and Green Red
OHM between Green Red and Ground. At the connector
read 0 ohms
Neutral Switch
Ground G and the light green test at wire harness side, should read 0
Reverse Switch
Ground the gray wire , test
Its that easy... Took me a solid month to find why I had no spark... If you have any questions shoot me a PM..
