I have been asking this same question for a little while. I took a trip to the dealer today and the kid there showed me what they have. They are an ATV tire stud, but its basically just a sheet metal screw with an indent in the center. They are possibly made with carbide or hardened metal, but still not much different. $18 for 250. Probably need about 1000. And they come in different lengths- 1/2", 5/8", 3/4"...

i use a set of Chen Shin knobbies on the back with about 850-900 Silver Rocket ice screws. With that many studs my quad handle's like it is on asphalt. You can buy different brands through Parts Unlimited. I run Silver Rockets because the series i run requires that brand. Make sure when you put the screws in you don't go too long. I run a new set of tires and 5/8 shaft screws. Some guys Slime the tires right away. I don't until they leak. When you install them make sure they are on rims and air then up to 18-20 psi to install them. Air them back down when done. I've learned the hard way. If you don't the studs rip out alot easier. Good Luck. Have fun
