hey i was thinkin about puttin a turbo on my 400ex and i was wonderin where to buy one and how hard they are to put in.

lol, turbo's just don't bolt on. Theres a lot of work that goes into it.

You need to find a stock turbo off a very small car to start with. You have to find a company to make you a low-compression piston, and you need to make all your own pipework and such.

It's a very complicated and technical mod. I wouldn't even bother.

Rather than a low compression piston, couldn't you just use a thicker base and head gasket? I don't know how low you have to go (...didn't even know you had to be low compression) so I do not know if the gaskets are even an option.

I have seen a turbo DS650 on youtube and that thing hauls, look it up. I have a turbo 400ex on youtube and it was really fast too,

I wonder why they estimate the HP to be 52 when they have a dyno sheet showing like 44 before it starts to take a dump.

its probably 52 off of the crank and the 44 was off the tires.

its probably due to the corrections, certain altitudes effect it. it is probably 52hp at sea level and 44ish where they are. i think its like sae correction.
