WHO STILL MAKES AN AFTER MARKET FRAME FOR THE 250R.
WOULD LIKE TO GET A NEW ARENS FRAME IF THEY ARE STILL AVAILABLE. JUST CALLED CT RACING AND THEY SAID THAT THE FRAMES ARE UNAVAILABLE. I CANNOT FIND A WEB SITE OR A PHONE NUMBER FOR ARENS BROTHERS INC. ANYWHERE. I REALLY DO NOT WANT TO GO WITH THE USED ROUTE. I HAVE 2 250R'S (87 AND 88). WOULD LIKE TO FIND NEW FRAMES THAT USE THE STANDARD FOOTPEG MOUNTS (TO USE IMS KICKUP PEGS).
EVEN IF I HAVE TO WAIT MONTHS TO GET A FRAME IS OK AS LONG AS I CAN GET A NEW FRAME

THANKS

Your best bet is to call around. When I was looking for a frame to be built I called all the old companies to see if they still built them and found the absolute best place to get a frame made would be HRE.

www.hreatv.com - best to give Mike a call and tell him Kevin sent you. Just don't ask him to copy my frame.

He is very backed up with work, but you may be able to get a standard frame with no major custom parts in 4-6 months.

The best part is you could get either standard 88 pegs put on or get a few things changed up like 450R footpegs because they are more available. You'd also have the choice of narrow front, standard front CR500 link or standard 250R link

However other options could include PRP, Tigor racing, Frontline performance or LSR - and get 400ex footpegs.

Here are some pictures of my frame:

What doesn't look very strong? What do you know about building frames? It's pretty much the exact same as a Laeger, which is pretty strong.

I assume most frames have a continuous bar through the shock tower instead of having an inch or 2 offset between the upper and lower bars. just a comment.

I admit I know nothing about making frames... but I did stay at a holiday inn last night. :D

you ever sell your frame?

He makes good stuff and its strong. He built a frame that NOBODY else would consider doing, copying a 86 atc250r frame with some changes. Now he building me 2 trike frames to use 4 stroke motors. I had a crash not that long also, came down from a 40ft tabletop, throttle stuck in the air, came down and when the rear wheels hit the ground. I got thrown off the bike, I watched it tumble twice. I bent the grab bar nearly straight up, bent bark busters, bent front rim(badly), bent both forks badly, bent front rotor and the front axle. This cost ALOT to fix. The frame was perfect, subframe is straight and so is the frame. I had a crash some years ago that the throttle got stuck in 4th gear, thankfully on a straightaway. Threw me off the bike, tether stopped it quickly, but did a nice bend on the subframe. With a stock frame, that recent crash never would have survived. I destroyed 3 stock frames, thats why I had the custom frame and it stood its test.

Pretty sure Walsh will still build a 250R Frame.
