i've heard of a 405 stroker or something like that, check out http://sparksracing.com/ and maybe u could call these guys and ask them if they have anything http://www.ktperformance.com/main.htm those are 2 great engine builders, i don't think u could go wrong with either one, good luck

if your going to get a HUGE big bore kit, wouldnt it be smarter to just get a 400ex ??

Four Stroke Tech has a 390cc bore kit. It includes a rod but no crank so it's still stock stroke. A while back Dirt Wheels or some ATV rag did a review of a FST 330 kit. It ran with a stock 400ex no problem but with the money they put into it, it probably would have been cheaper to sell the 300 and get a 400ex to begin with.

I am pretty sure that they make a 410 kit. If that is big enough for you. Maybe get a 350x engine and bore that.

Before the 400ex came out I know that tc, sparks and a few other ones made a 416cc 300 ex Jeremy Schell used to run one.

most any engine builder could build you something between 330 and 400. i'm not sure about a pre-assembled stroker crank, but you could always buy another stocker and send that out instead. i didn't think they gave you all new cranks. just shop around

the absolute biggest i have heard of was a 426 out of a 250x/300ex. that's huge. i saw a 390 in action at the local track. pretty impressive stuff, but i heard they're not the most reliable things in the world.

I got a TC 405cc motor that I would sell to you that smokes a little on startup, but is fine to ride all day without any oil consumption. It has a brand new DP clutch in it also. Will run on 50/50 race pump gas combo. $1000.00 With all of the power and stock tranny gearsin you will need to gear this thing up incredibly with a 14 front and 36 rear for 20" size rear tires! It must do around 70+ MPH on the dirt!

If you really want to go over 330cc you will need to split your cases and have everything removed so that the cases can be properly bored and cleaned - then reassembled with a heavy duty rod and some oil flow modifications. Then you will need your cylinder bored and new sleeve punched in. Reassemble with new piston, cam, special head gasket, etc. that will work together for optimum performance. If you want a 330cc cylinder and piston that you can bolt right on to your trannywithout any modifiactions - I also have one of those for sale soon.

I've been thinking about a 330 kit for my X also.... not too long ago the motor was completely rebuilt.....I broke it in correctly....jetting is correct....but every once and a while when I give it a blip, I get blue smoke.

Good or bad?

To do a stroker in the 350-390 range you are going to have to spend $2000+ just in parts & labor (not including assembly/dissasembly, this is assuming you are doing all of that labor).

man, there are suckers born every minute.if one pays these prices they are just plain crazy or rich.if you can do your own labor(not counting machine work)you could pay not even a third of that.

i got my set up from pro fabatv on ebay.

Je 85mm piston,sleeve,gasket kit,$115 shipped
new wb all around cam(EBAY) $94 shipped)
new sleeve installed,$125
doing it myself priceless
i wont be anywhere near what a shop would charge.

A hahahaha.

Buggers.. man, I got suckered into that one.. lol.

It's not even Friday.. no excuse. It snowed.. does that count? ROFL.

:eek2: :eek2: :eek2: :eek2: :eek2: :eek2:

At least he knows how to do a search, eh? :) Too bad I can't read.

Ohh... and the majority of the cost I was talking about.. was for the crank (stroker), case splitting (most people cant handle or dont want to handle a tranny, including myself.. lol), Case shaving, port, polish, valves, HD Rod, hardened rockers, valve springs, clutch springs, pipe, filter, jets, etc., etc. There's more to a 350+ stroker than a new sleeve.
