Getting a 450r sunday

Well i finally sold my 150r so on sunday il be picking up a 2004 black 450r on sunday.
It is mint. Low hours and cut front fenders. All stock for $2700. Any tips and stuff? And il be adding mods as i get some money.

im sure youve heard about the crank bearings going bad on 04/05 right? pull the oil filter out and check for metal shavings. it seems to be hit and miss with this problem. my 05 has been fine. (knock on wood)

450Rs only came in red in 2004. 2005 was the first year for black. Either it's an 05 or it has 05 plastic on it.

yes i knew about the crank bearings. And il check if its an 05

My only advise is to ride it a lot before upgrading anything. I've had mine for like 4 months, and its been down for 3 of them. I refused to ride it for a while when I was waiting for my hotcam, because the valve clearances were supposed to be checked after break in. I wouldn't just check the clearances, I wanted to put in a cam while I was in there. Just stuff like this. Right now Im dying to ride it but I cant because I have a huge air boot and the airbox is back too far to put on the plastics. The jetting is wrong, and the kill switch doesnt work.
