Hiper Rims...? about them

im looking at some rear hiper rims that are 8X8. The offset is 3+5. Am i making the rear end wider or and i losing the widness of the quad? i dont really understand the offsets of wheels lol. any help would be appreciated

lol thanks for you opinion dsracer. My buddy runs them on his 450 and races nationals and has never had any problems with his. Actually, alot of my friends run them. Anyways, anyone have any other thoughts? i dont really understand the whole offset thing.

the only reason i dont like them is because they are so heavy! Compared to ally wheels they weigh a ton! But that may not be a problem to ya so good luck
