Mounting 87 footpegs on 88?

Is it possible to directly mount 87 footpegs on the 88 style frame?

Anybody have pictures or know if you need an adapter?

Looks like it would be wayyyyy to much of a hassle to attempt that. I couldn't even think of a clean easy way to do that..
