shock update

been a while since ive been here. just wondering , other that the ones listed in ryans sticky, has anyone used other shocks that would do for an '07 and what was the outcome. got an '01 raptor for the rear and 400ex's for the front. the raptor seems a bit stiff. thnxs in advance

I'm not sure if it's in the sticky or not, but I have heard of someone that put a banshee front shock on the back, my guess is that it would soften it up quite a bit.

Let me say this, the 300EX front shocks went on easy but are really stiff. I am going to put on the rear today but have to drill the mount bolts out to 15/32. Top and bottom.

i put '01 raptor rear on and loosened the comp and reb all the way along with the preload almost completely out and it improved as bit but not what i would like. grant it its better than the stock but just not there. just not gonna spend any more big $$$ on it. did enough already. was a project for me and son.

yes but will it make it handle better, the front was very stiff and I am 200 pounds in gear.
