in order to get 24 volts off two 12 volt batteries . you have to hook the postive of 1 battery to the neg of the orther battery .this is what is call a series connect batteries is will look like this

DO NOT HOOK THE POSTIVE TO THE NEGATIVE OF THE SAME BATTERY

He's right on. Liable to fry something eventually, but it sure will start a lot quicker! If you try to hook them in parallel, it won't help any. But series, makes the starter sound like a toy cause it's high pitched and fast!

i would get a 6 volt battery in series would be 18 volts this battery you could put it in your air box this should be good for at least 20 or more starts before charging and for wiring it up you go from the (+) side from the main battery to the solenoid and from their to the (-) side of the other battery thin the (+) to the starter

The only thing running off 24 volts is the starter. Everything else is 12 volts. It's a completely sound system. One battery is not enough for dead engine XC starts.

There is no damage to the electrical system if it is hooked up right. I have had mine for over 2 years and no problems.

Keep in mind that there are two wires that are located on the main positive cable. The smaller 14 gauge one needs to be hooked up to the first battery, or you will fry your electrical system.

I do sell airboxes that allow you to mount the second battery and remount the solenoid.

$139 shipped if interested.

Good luck
