got a 2" lift, so i am going with a bigger and better tire. I found these (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Parts-Accessories_Car-Truck-Parts-Accessories__4-LT-31-10-50-15-NEW-IRONMAN-MUD-TRAC-LT66-6-PLY_W0QQitemZ270304699436QQddnZPartsQ20Q26Q20Acces soriesQQadiZ2865QQddiZ2811QQadnZCarQ20Q26Q20TruckQ 20PartsQ20Q26Q20AccessoriesQQcmdZViewItemQQptZMoto rs_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item2703046994 36&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=72%3A543|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318) on ebay for cheap, but havent heard anything about them. any input on them would be great.

second that i saw were these (http://louisville.craigslist.org/pts/910004443.html) and also do not know anything about them.

any other suggestions would be great. budget is $600 shipped. My jeep sees mostly road, but want to have the tires there if i need them, so i want some good all terrains.

A few questions , is the Jeep a TJ (96 and newer) or a YJ (Pre 96 with rectangle headlights). That is going to have an effect. If its a TJ you can actually fit up to a 33in tire on a stock size. I wouldnt recomend it , but it is doable.

I would say 31 x 10.5 is just right for a very mild lift.

It is neither. it is a 1998 ZJ ( grand cherokee)

The Goodyears would be the better buy outta that pair......and 31/10.50/15 sounds like a perfect size for a 2" lifted ZJ....thats the size im going to on my MJ when i get the chance

and 31/10.50/1

my dad is running these on his stock 04 wrangler and they are nice.

They are Cooper Discovery tires. I guess we cant have any complaints about them. THey have about 32,000 on theym and they are still holding up great.

I'm also a fan of swampers, but have fun finding them cheap.

Swampers are too much and have too much meat.

Does anyone have an opinion on the Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor? i found some for $400 with a lot of tread left.

first check with your local tire dealers. They can sometimes get the best deals. I got my 35's and an alignment for a shade over $700.

I work for Firestone so this may be a biased opinion, but when i get tires for my XJ, with a 2 inch lift, im going to put either...

A) Firestone Destination A/T- I like these do to the fact that they are a very quiet tire, they have very good restistance to cupping and chopping, and they perform very well for a more street oriented All terrain.

B) Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo- This is a more aggresive yet very quiet tire, they have a tread design that also resists cupping but gives great traction and handling. These are a lil more expense due to the technology that goes into them but well worth it. I have customers that i have had to talk ino buying these tires and have been back 3 times for another set becuase they like them so much...

These two tires are amazing. I will more than likely put the bridgestones on my jeep come springtime simply becuase i get an amazing deal on them:blah:

Oh and niether one of the above mentioned should cost over 600 installed on your vehicle. Well the duelers may be close...

we have the duelers on or expedition. Good AT tire, but nothing more. If you're looking for something more aggressive, I personally wouldn't go with the duelers if you plan on doing some wheeling. Mastercraft has quiet a good selection of MT's. If name brand doesn't matter, check out wideclimbers as well. Those are pretty much off brands of the big name companies, but have the same tread patters.

My buddy has been doing a lot of research on what tires he is getting next and he keeps saying that the silent armors are a damn good tire and has good reviews. I would think that was a pretty good deal cause he said his would be more than that for a slightly smaller size.

Lets see this jeep with the lift.
