rear brakes

I have an 04 Blaster w/ rear hyd brakes. I ordered EBC sintered pads from Rocky Mountain - went to put them on last night and couldnt get the caliper back on b/c the gap between the pads is not large enough! Yes, I compressed the piston - even bled some fluid out. Do I need to mess w/ the parking brake adjustment to get the piston to bottom out more or what??

I put pads on this bike 2 years ago - and it took 15min. The pads look correct for the bike - I'm confused :confused:
