Hey guys I need a set of nerfs for racing next year. I'm gonna get them for Christmas and I need to know. I want a set that's pretty comfortable and are strong. I was kind of leaning toward graydon proline's cuz i've heard good things about them. And they look pretty cool on a 400ex!

Where are you finding your Graydon parts at. Id like to look at some 250ex Graydon parts but i havent found any yet. Im lookin at DG Nerfs for mine but they are $150 and it wouldnt hurt to find some at least $10-$30 cheaper.

I would get the ac propegs. They are the best. All the racers dont use them for no reason.

well, yea JJ is now #1. but anyway I've had all brands and personaly i REALLY like graydons. AC is third best but didnt fit on too easy for me, dg (fourth place) was really easy to install! but didnt hold up really great. none of these brands and bad. My friend just got the EXTRERM FABRICATION (second place) nerfs out of Rocky mountain for ONLY $99!!! There AWESOME too!!! Fit is one of the best, quality is awesome, and look GREAT! you cant possibly beat the price either!!!

Well, i found Armadillo front bumpers for a 250 for $70 but they are ugly. Id like less expensive nerfs and a good lookin front bumper. And i was at the website b/c the Rockymountain mag doesnt have hardly any 250ex parts listed b/c its the spring/summer 2001 issue.

If you want the BEST fot MX then get the AC Pro Pegs. Strong, easy fit, best looking and 99% of the pros use them. If they can stand up to that kind of abuse they must be good no GREAT!! Get them and you won't be dissapointed, don't get them and come back in 6 months crying because your OTHER BRAND nerfs broke and now you need a set of AC. YOU PAY FOR QUALITY!! GET THE BEST FIRST, DONT WAIT UNTIL YOUR CHEAPER BRAND BREAKS, THEN IT COULD BE YOUR LEG!!

well not as many pros use AC as u may think. Still, GRAYDON! or extreme fabrication! THERE ONLY $99 and are exactly the same as AC! if your gona be doin hard jumps and stuff get pro-pegs.

11-14-2001, 11:07 AM
I use propegs but I'm kinda leary of them know,,since I bent them about 2 inches toward the ground after landing hard off of a jump,,,I think using the stock footpegs with nerfs mounted to them might be better,,,I dont' know,,,next set will be the standard nerfs,,,No propegs for me..:(

HEY RICO, I HAVE SOME DUNCAN RACING NERFS, JUST LIKE THE AC FOR SALE

I JUST PUT ON A SET OF AC PRO PEGS. AWESOME, AND EVERYONE ELSE THINKS SO. THEY LOOK ALOT SPORTIER THAN ANY OTHER NERFS. JUST MY OPINION.:D

11-14-2001, 12:01 PM
Oh I think the looks of the propegs are much better than standard nerfs,,,with the way they kick up in the air like wings,,,really cool. But looks aren't what's important its how they hold up to abuse, they should not have bent is my point. I think I might call AC and see about a replacement set...for free that is.

And mocazen,,,thanks but I won't be deciding on nerfs for a while have other things to buy first.

I have graydon and am greatly impressed!!! they were fairly easy to put on. but their strength is AWESOME! bumpin shrubs n trees n stuff, and they dont even have dents or anything. they look awesome too! talk about kickin up at the back. the world championship TT CT 400ex doesnt have em fer nothing! haha jk. Graydon - thats just my two cents worth.....

Oh yeha striker, have you looked to see if graydon makes their front bumper for the 250? cuz mine for my 400 was 69.99. and it looks awesome i think, plus i had one on my 300 and it is strong!

yee haw, those peo-pegs look bent! the foot peg parts look bent downward. But strenght, not doubt GRAYDON, AC looks great but i've seen and heard alot of them bending. DG ugly, i think! there OK in quality

11-14-2001, 04:27 PM
LMFAO! Bent? That picture came straight off of AC's website.:blah :blah :blah :p

I don't think AC's own website would have abused and bent nerfs on this pic.

11-14-2001, 05:08 PM
but look at it, you couldnt put your foot on that peg! its at a 45 degree angle! that would hurt to ride like that! and very dangerous!

crday98
11-14-2001, 10:18 PM
they may appear to be bent because of the way the webbing goes through the front side of the peg but if you study the pic you will see they are not;)

I just ordered some Dg Nerfs from Dennis Kirk and they were 110.99 for a 400EX. Dg doesn't have any for the 250EX but there are some alloy ones in here for 161.99..sorry but thtats the cheapest i have found.

Striker49
11-15-2001, 08:00 PM
No, DG makes 250ex nerfs. GOTO www.rockymountainatv.com and see for yourself ;) But they are like $152.99

11-16-2001, 06:53 AM
I have had Dg Alloys on my 400ex and on my Banshee and have no problems out of them. They have taken some abuse and it doesnt show. I like them. :)

11-16-2001, 04:07 PM
man you guys are killer! one says DG are awesome, one says they suck, one says AC are the best, another says they arent that great. i can never decide what ones to buy when i cant tell what is good and what is bad! well i guess ill have to decide on my own. DOES AYONE HAVE COMPLAINTS ON THE GRAYDON? if not i might just have to go with them. but i do love the pro pegs but i dont want to spend $190 and hae it go down the drain with one big jump! im confused!

keep it real:devil

no complaints AT ALL with my graydons, SLAMED into a tree 4th gear wot turning, didnt do a d*amn thing to my graydons!!! it bent the peg pretty bad though! It didnt even hardly do anything to the chrome! I wish i would have bought graydons over my AC pro-pegs!!! And well dg didnt do great 4 me, but the nets ripped all up easily

I got dg nerfs, and I sent them back before I mounted them. The welds looked horible, and they required that you remove the footguard. I got a set of ac standard nerfs, and they are perfect for me. They are really strong (I had a 180 lb guy standing on the outside edge seeing if they would bend... was kinda nervious) and mounted up easy. I suggest them to anyone.
