i've been hearing nothing but good things about the new GoPro system,

I have a GoPro helmet cam. I like it takes pretty good quality videos, and can also take pictures. They just came out with a new model that has a wider lens on it that would be nice to have.

If you were to get one get the motorsports hero version comes with a bunch of mounts that will work with your helmet.

the standard lens that i have is 179.99 and the wide is 199.99

It uses 2 aaa batteries, best to use lithium ones, and records to a 2gb memory card that is good for about a hour of video

I haven't had any problems with mine, Only thing I really dont like is that its kind of hard to tell when your recording, have to watch for a red blinking light on the lens. But other then that I like mine. Haven't had mine get in the way at all either with it mounted on the side of my helmet, i've hit a few branches in tight trails but thats about it.

Robin hood......have you mounted it to your atv and not the helmet? It probably would look like Dorthy in the tornado in the Wizard of Oz. Spinning and jumping around and around. Nice video! Got more?
