Call of Duty: World at War

Didn't see anyone post on this yet so I thought i would.

What is everyone's opinions on this game as a whole?

Single play: Storyline is good

Co-op: fun but challenging especially when you play with people who dont revive you then wonder why you fail the mission :huh :rolleyes:

multiplayer: is awesome. the maps are great and the gun classes are perfect

Got it Friday. Played it for five hours Saturday and two hours today. Killer game havn't played it online yet. It scares the crap out of you!:p

i love how realistic the grenades are in this game. In COD4 it would just take you down, in this one it literally blows off your limbs, also i think the guns are alot more accurate than those in COD4,

my favorite multiplayer map is the Asylum, and favorite gun class is the Veteran, whats your guys favorite?

The guns shouldnt be more accurate if they would date them correctly. Modern warfare guns should be 1000x more accurate that WaW. Classic guns such as those arent accurate at all compared to the newer ones. I have gotten the game yet but ive heard mixed reviews. Im still hooked on COD4

i agree about modern weapons being much better I'm just stating to me, it seems the game characteristics of accuracy are better than COD4. However, i only notice this when shooting from the hip or aiming with a non-scoped weapon. The scoped weapons seem to be slightly less accurate than those in COD4.

I have always liked all of the cod games, I don't play any thing else. I was kind of thrown back they decided to do WWII again, but there is reason the series was never finished. In this game you finish WWII by defeating Japan and Germany. So from here on out I see the COD series being strictly modern warfare or based on other historic wars. very true, and there arent very many guns made today you can bury in the sand/dirt/mud come back 2 years later, dig up and fire without cleaning it, the gun I'm talking about is of course the M1A1

Anyone have trouble logging into live? I went to go play online and it wouldn't let me, I did the test and it passed everything but the Xbox Live part. I went to go open it and it was blank. I'm pretty sure my account didn't expire yet.:ermm:

also take into consideration which company did this game. It was the same ones that did 3 (screwed that game up) and infinity ward took back over for 4 and they started on 6 right after 4 was done and out. They do this to give the developers enough time to make the games, if they didnt we would get a new COD every 2 years

well said, COD 6 will be modern, and i think COD 7 should advance in time from WW2, and go into Vietnam, so many things could be done with that game, think of "We Were Soldiers" battle

You know....I said I wasn't gonna get it, but I saw some game play from the multi player and it looked sick! I was kind of turned away when I heard it was the same people who made three. Looking at the game play though, it doesn't look much different than 4.

anyone got to drive the tanks around in multiplayer? my buddy (whose system i play on) hasn't unlocked everything yet so we have not been able to try the vehicles out yet.

I beat the game the first day i got it. It rained all day, so there i sat, playing my collectors edition for a couple hours. Now i enjoy destroying everyone else in multiplayer! :devil:

Maybe it is just me, as I just got the game. But the maps seem really messy for online play. Overall the game is awesome, I will just have to spent some time to find the right gun and figure out all of the maps.

I'm fricken stuck at the last part of the Reichstag, I'm getting RAPED by grenades and those damn Panzerschrecks get me every time!:mad:

Finally beat the game. Awesome story line, fighting as the Russians was deffiently the most fun.
