prefilter Idea

I was just curious, I run the stock foam filter with lid off, probably not the smartest thing, and Im sure it will cost me down the road, but the bike performs its best with the lid off.

I was curious, instead of spending $20 for a prefilter, do you think pantyhose would work the same? lets here your thoughts and opinions. Im ready, and yes i like to save money, allows me to buy other things where possible...

Yea, you can do that. I don't see why not. But I would definately slap a few pairs on if possible and spray some Uni foam filter oil on them.
