ok a few quick questions ive searched and found nothin. so what companys make a standard travel +3 a-arm if any do? does smc make them ? thats what i was hoping to get but havent called just gettin some ideas for chirstmas btw this is for an 05 450r

SMC makes them. SMC a arms are well priced and great quality. I love mine

i thought they did but wasnt sure there website doesnt give a whole lot of imformation also how wide should i be with +3's and stock rims

SMC does make ST +3s i had them on my old 450r..

i had the old version at first, but they got bent after a season of riding so SMC sent me free new ones with all new gusseting and free bushings. good company to deal with, esp with the lifetime warranty

They look sweet on the 450r, I wish burgard replaced bent a-arms:rolleyes:

^ to the guy that posted the pictures. it looks like those a arms put alot of stress on the shocks. the first picture looks like they have alot more travel then the last front end picture. they look MUCH more compressed in the last one.

well in the second picture it had little ST axis with remote rezzies, not stock shocks, so it sat lower

i had stock front rims in the 1st pic and 4-1 douglas in the second pic, its only 51 with stock rims

jd performance will do +3 st travel as well i believe. jdperformance.net.

+3 st are usually very prone to bending...

Is this mainly due to the high shock mounting point, creating more leverage to bend the arm?
