it sure looks like it but if you buy it from sparks it comes with the flywheel puller for about the same price after shipping.

that is not the curtis sparks key. that is an srp key. they do the same thing but curtis sparks key is adjustable do the advance and is more trusted because of the big name backing it. whatever you do make sure you get a flywheel puller with it unless you already have one. sparks key comes with one.

ya i'm gonna get the curtis one instead because it is only gonna cost me 50 shipped and like you said the better name plus the curtis one has the flywheel puller and is there a sticker with the curtis key? :D

I got the one you posted.

It works absolutely fine. I love it.

And I think its BETTER than the sparks. You don't have to hold the flywheel to the left. It fits perfectly in the flywheel keyway.

I think the sparks is a bunch of BS how they designed it. It's all the same chit so I like this better. You dont have to turn the flywheel to advance it.

yeah it was a little tricky at 1st I had it at like 4 degrees advanced cause it slipped when holding it. For the price I paid for it all I cant complain. $10 for the key and the puller bolt.

I know..

I mean $50 shipped? jeez.

I payed $12 for the key off ebay.. 10 for the puller.

$22 all total. Then the gasket was like 13 so in the end I only ended up spending $35 for everything.

And what better name? Its a damn key for christ sake. They're all made of the same crap. If anything the one on Ebay is BETTER because they took the time to make a whole new key which is offset so theres a no hassle installtion.

If I would have known thats all sparks does.. I could have made my own advance key with the stocker. We have a bridgeport mill at my dads shop. it would be cake.

Im actually considering making them and selling them. Just have to figure out how much to shave off.

well technically the key is used as just a reference for the timing,if you had a degree wheel and could increment 6 degrees(or 7:D )you wouldnt even need the key,a bit of loctite on the shaft and impact her on;) Or the next time you cut grass and hit a tree stump with the lawn mower, take the sheared key from it and voila...theres your sparks key:D
