In the 400ex service manual it says install new bearings onto the axle carrier but that is for stock carriers. Im installing a RAD carrier and I am wondering if I need O-rings for it. I tried using the old ones just to see if they would work but they dont make it through the arm because the grooves are not as big.
So do you need the outside orings?
also what are the extra holes covered by the screws? are they for zerk fittings? Do i leave them or take them off so when i fill the grease it will spread to the outside of the carrier?
