250ex starter wont engage engine

when i press the button, starter just spins, engine doesnt turn over. What could be wrong? it ran fine a few hours before started up fine and everything

well unless it fixes itself witch i doubt would happen, your wallet is going to take a hit becuase not only are starters expensive to buy, but they are also a pain in the *** to get to so unless you know how to replace it you gonna have to go to the dealer, and that means lots of $ in labor charges
