I've seen shops offering 416, 426 and 440 head gaskets. Do you have to use them for a 416 or can you get away with a stock gasket ?

I'm not completely sure but you can get an aftermarket top end gasket kit on ebay for a good price like i just bought a top end gasket and it was moose racing and included 2 crush gaskets for the pipe, 4 oil line o-rings cylinder o-ring, the 3 gaskets, valve seals, valve o-rings and the intake o-ring for 31 bucks and shipping was pretty cheap

The 416 still retains a stock sleeve so yes a stock gasket will work. When you get into big bores like 440 then you need a bigger sleeve which then you need a bigger gasket.
