300 rear end knocking noise

The rear end makes noise and seems to jerk. Could this be the axle bearings?

im not sure but my quad did this too and i got a new axle nut and then it stopped, make sure it is tight too.

We tore the rear end down this weekend and the rear axle bearings were bad. We are ordering a new rear bearing holder, bearings, etc.
