I am going to spend some money on my quad. Should I get +2 a-arms or should I have GT-Thunder redo my 450r shocks

What kind of riding do you do?

I mostly ride woods and trail, but try and hit every jump I can. I like the way the 450r shocks handle and jump, but they don't soak up the bumps very wll. I read on here that with +2 arms they are about rite.

with doing mostly trail riding and jumping, the shocks are going to give you a better ride, unless you are looking for more stability, then i would go with the a-arms.

slow bumps will still kill you unless you're heavier. thats how i ran them.

If I go with the arms I was also thinking about getting the dual rate springs as well. Do you think this would help with the bumps?

yes, i hate recommending them, but works makes a nice triple rate kit. if you don't feel like being hassled, don't tell them they're on a 400ex. also, ask for them to be stiffer than you think you need. the springs they sent me probably would have worked wonderfully on stock a arms.

Thanks for the info. Im not sure what Im going to do yet but this has helped. I wish suspension wasn't so expensive.
