jetting a z400

yes i have ordered fmf jet kit for my z400 i have a full jardine exhaust and a k&n air filter. i am in nc not in the mountains though. any idea on what sizes to use?

I would try a 160 main jet(Mikuni),but you didn't mention if you ran a lid or not.

i run it with a lid now but wont when i get the jets

Yea, then I would try the 160 main jet. That will get yea in the ballpark. Youll know if its too lean if it starts cutting out on yea when you have the throttle pinned. If it doesnt cutout, then do a plug test. Its ok to be rich,but not too rich. You don't want a jet black plug. Medium to dark brown plug color is your goal.
