I got a new phoe yesterday and it says its 3g? could anyone please tel me what is 3g

FYI: It's cell phone. Cell is short for cellular even though we don't use analog cellular phones anymore. ;)

3G is the data connection. It's for when you're downloading music, surfing the net, etc..

3G stands for Third Generation. It's simply faster than the older versions.
