Put a hood on a quad? Do you cut a piece off of the plastic and put the hood on or is there a certain way?

depends what quad you are talking about, trx 450s you only have to tug on it and it will pull off. others are bolted on. what quad are you talking about?

Most hoods bolt on like stated above, the old 400ex's you have to cut the upper part of the plastics off because of the ole' bug eye head lights.

not sure if you can see or not, but i used the push clip things that come on the stock honda plastics to mount the front, and i bolt the mounting holes on the back of it using locking washers.

There was one of the old YFZ hoods not made anymore that you had to cut a hole in the front of the plastic to make room and actually made that scoop actually a scoop, but still riveted on like all the others.
