after riding for a while at my friend's track, my ankles and feet start to hurt. i just wear dr. martens. if i got a pair of riding boots do you think they would help? also, what makes a boot different from one to another and also what would be something cheaper but decent that i could try? thanks in advance.

ive never used any of the really high quality boots, but for what i do im perfectly happy with my thor quadrants. the hard sole combined with a padded mx sock will help with impacts.

I love my fly racing boots. yeah they arent the greatest but it sure is way more comforatable and better than what I used to use which was boots bought at walmart. Buckles have never come undone by themselves and they feel good. My brother has the Thor quadrants and I like them but they became really soft

i got a pair of oxtars for $90 and i figured they would be kinda crap and it first they were uncomfortable and my feet got sore and i would always take them off but now i keep them on all day at the track and can walk around all day in them and my feet feel fine. as for support they are good my ankles dont get sore after riding and i didnt mess up my feet at all yet so i guess they protect pretty good

And yes, proper fitting will boots will stop all the ankle and foot pain.

O'neal make some decent budget boots so do Diadora but you might be better off buying second on ebay and getting a decent make for cheep.

Gaerne sg10's and tech 8's here. Probably going for tech 10's for next season. I can get pretty decent deals on all three, so I might grab some 10's.

Tech 3's are the best bang for the buck i ever spent.

I've had tech 8's tech 10's sidis etc.

The soles are still near mint after two seasons with pro pegs and havent broke a buckle etc yet. Cant say anything bad at all about them. really comfortable
