I want to put a set of fog/driving lights on the front of my 93 300ex and I was wondering how many watts can I go without burning up the stator?

Any thoughts?

Thanks

I just helped my bud pud some lights on his 300ex..he got them at o'rileys for $20. they were way brighter than i thought they would be and wired up easy. you cant use the low beam but who needs it. the stock light is 55W (high beam) so i wouldnt go over 60w

Alright guys I tossed a set of 55 watt driving lights on it and WOW, the difference is insane. Im now trying to figure out what to do with the mess where the old light was. I might put it back on just to cover all the wires up. Any ideas?

Heres some pictures

How much were the lights? Where did you get them?

Also looks like you mounted the lights to the shock bolt correct?

I have a custom wire harness with a hot wire for additional items (such as lights). I take it the wiring is 1 hot and 1 ground?

Thanks!

Hey,

I ordered a set, heck for $12 who cares!

So here is the skinny. I have no headlight switch, just a MC push button start and a key to kill the motor.

I do have 1 hot wire that I left for any accessories.

Soo.. I think these lights are just 1 way correct, meaning always on high?

My plan is to connect the hot wire, and then a ground.. thats about it.. I will have them wired through some type of toggle switch located near the front where the old headlight used to be.

Northern tool had a great deal and great reviews for 2 55w worklights. They are backorderd about 25 days +-.
