how much oil should i put in my tranny?

i filled it up to the bolt hole. is that good?

I'm heading out tomorrow, so this info would be great. I didn't mean for the question to sound so retarded. I had my 6 week old in my right hand as I typed with my left. I filled it with a little over half a quart, and that seemed to make oil seep out of the seep hole in the side of the case. Is this enough? It just seemed like a little amount?

You did it perfect. Ride it around for a while and get it up to temp while going through all the gears. Then bring it back and check the level again. You're good to go.

Yep, that bolt hole is the level you want. That's why it's there.

And yes, a little over half a quart is right. The Honda Service manual lists the total capacity right about three-quarters of a quart (0.74) but you'll only get 0.64 quarts after draining (it actually lists both specs, total amount and regular oil-change amount).
