i have a 2004 450r with a 13:1 high comp piston, ported and polished head and hmf complete exhaust, i going to rebuild it soon and when i do i was wanting to put a cam in it. Which cam should i go with. I was thinking of the hrc or hotcam stage 2 or 3. Any suggestions?

i love my stage 2. it pulls so hard. and for your mods you will really like it. i had similar mods, and it was great for the mods.

My motor is almost the same as yours, but I'm running a sparks exhaust. Currently I am running the HC1 but fixin to change to the HC 2...the HC1 is a little too much bottom end for the tracks I race on.

Thats the cam I wanted to run but I guess with the 08 and 09's you can't because of the stupid auto decompression.

what are the best places yall have found to buy piston kits, cams, and other parts?

i have ran both stage 1 and 2, and stage 2 is the way to go, i didnt really notice any loss in bottom end. i drag raced, and rode trails hard(xc style). deffinatly my cam of choice, either that or web.

normally there is more than one place to get top of the line pistons, cams, and most of everthing. I know first hand that DRG makes killer pistons, imo better than anything i have seen. Cams, hotcams,crfs-hrcs and web are probably the most common, and are all good.

I race woods and I run an 02 CRF cam with a 12:1 CP piston. I have an 04.

I'm very happy with the power. I pull on my friend 06 with the HRC kit.
