The key with any shock is having it setup correctly. All the major shock companies put out very good setups now, its just getting them set to your likings that becomes the issue. Sometimes having to much adjustability can be a bad thing to some people also.

Thank you

yeah I think Fox are one of the best on the market now. I dont know if they changed anything or they just got them figured out more but towards when they 1st came out nobody would say they are equal to PEP or Axis. I cant say in this debate because I havent ridden on either shock.

pep, I have had both
just like justin said above the key to any shock is set-up
you can make anything good,
fox shocks advantage is weight and rebuild issues

pep needs rebuild every year and weighs a little more

I think the performance is better

fox needs to be rebuilt every year also, the seals tend to blow out that keep the pressures seperated, i had mine for about 1 year or so, and the ended up mixing the pressures together and had to be rebuilt and they are not cheap to have done by fox either, i still like fox and will continue using them, you cant compare them equally due to PEP being alot more expensive, if you compare DSC floats-1500 to PB1s-2000, DSC rear 900 PEP rear is over 1000, i really would like to ride PB1s but fox are alot cheaper and they sponsor. i like the fox but they do take a long long time to dial in perfect, first set took me about 5 months to get them to where i like them. second set is easier to dial in
