What machine are you trying to mount them on? I had a set last Friday that I spent 2 hours trying to mount on (that they set evenly, and I didn't have to move the levers way out of the way, or set them so low) Anyways, I ended up taking them back to the store for a refund. I was bummed, they look cool and all, but I just couldn't get the clutch side on correctly. It was on my all stock 2007 Honda 450ER. Seems that the clutch perch on my stock Honda is just too big for the mount to fit , and I tried every which way powermadd instructions said. If anyone had any luck with their stock machines appreciate any advice. Seems the mounts are only made for aftermaket, "clutch only" type perches, not the stock assembly with the parking brake on it.

yea i took my parking brake off to get them to work....but id rather have the powermadds than my cheap honda parking brake theat never worked even when adj right......and i bought mine new! take parking brake assem off leave the stock perch on and put a wd40 cap with some super glue to block off the plate on the caliper cheap temp fix till u get perch and block off plate...oh yea and the cap really could pass as an act fix....i raced mine several times with a cap and it never once fell off

just to update things, I stayed persistant with the powermadds, called the company, explained my problem with mounting them with stock equip on the bars. They were very helpful and I ordered a new set of handguards and they sent me an updated mounting system( they explained to me that it is still in the prototypical stage). Anyways, they mounted up fine didn't have to move anythng, they actually mount lower on the bars, more to the inside than their standard mounting system. I give them a thumbs up for staying up on their products, they said they had a few similar compliants from atv owners, being that most atv bars are full of stuff on the handlebars. BTW, I ride a stock Honda 2007 450ER.

i run the moose guards and barkbusters. they look sweet and they give alot of protection. I think a set of aluminum barkbusters and the guards are under a hundred bucks

They're cheap and flexy! So the purpose of a handguard is what? Protection. What happens when a branch or something rigid hits that guard? It bends back and to your hand cause they are cheap and flexy. Ouch. I value my knuckles therefore i've got the aluminum hoops and the plastic splashguards.

Pro-tapers are good as well. I got mine for $40, they fit great and don't budge, metal connectors and everything.

Acerbis Uniko are the shiznit. My youngest son fell over in the pits at about 2mph on his bike and broke the mounts on a set a Powermadd guards one time. We were sponsored by them that year and that was the last. We've been with Acerbis for 3 years now and haven't had 1 problem.

if your racing you don't need thick and ugly moose racing hand guards if you rider trails get the powermadd star series best way to go price and quality can't go wrong

But with that bumper, the headlight is just there to protect the computer etc.

I have a proarmor MX to use when i need my headlight.

i got some raider handguards from gander mountain. they look like the powermadd without the vented opening. the mounting hardware even looks the same. they sell them for $20. only rode last weekend since i put them on and havent wrecked yet to test durability.
