hey guys, its been a long time since ive been on here.

Im in the process of a top end rebuild. wiseco 440 kit w/ 12.5: 1 piston. Im going to go with the stage 2 hotcams but ive noticed that there is a stage 3. Ive always been a fan of big cams (in cars at least).

Would a stage 3 kill me? Ive never really heard of anyone running them. Are they really just good for the strokers??

Thanks

Actually the stage 3 will run better in the big 440 12.5:1 engines than the stage 2. Stage 2's are for like 416's.

Yeah for that compression I say the stage 3. If you go with the stage 2 it will fall on its face in the upper rpm range.

I had a stage 2 in my 440 and it was great. Had lots of torque. I still have it if you want its for sale. And with your high compression it will really be great. I was told that stage 3 cams were for strokers thats why its called the "stroker cam"
