I am having trouble getting my pred 50 and pred 90 started after they sit for a couple weeks. Does anyone know if a pilot jet change is needed or have any insight on the matter what so ever? Thank you in advance for your help.
Alan

I have the four stroke versions of both the 50 and 90 and have the same problem! I am going to tear the carb's apart this winter and hope that helps!!!!!

My son's is just like that too.
I make sure it is always hooked to the trickle charger for a full charge.
It really is a bear to start though. My 400EX used to be the same way.

Yet, my 500 starts flawlessly every single time. ?????

I used to work at a polaris dealership and the small polaris quads have always been a pain in the butt to start. The sales man always prestarted them before the customer came to get them so that no one would know. It is kind of imbarassing picking up a new quad that wont start. I hate to say this but Polaris mini quads are not very good.

I may try going a bit richer with the main jet and see what that does.
For under $2500 there was no other mini that i thought was a better option.
Out of the main 4, the Kawi was the only one that looked reasonable.
All the rest had like 2.5" of travel and big fat balloon tires.

It will just have to do until he is ready to step up to a 250 Raptor.

Jetting it will make a big difference for you. After adding pipes/filters and bumping up the jetting on our mini's they consistently fire right up, although the 2 stroker gets a little finicky if the temperature gets down below freezing.

I have a Max RPM pipe and switched to the main jet (forget #) that he sent me.
I believe it is still too lean because my son gets some occasional popping when letting off.
At 600-1000 ft. what would be a good main to start with?

Why does everyone always advise going so lean with their mains???
