If I were to build one this is almost exactly how I would do it. Roll design anyway.

The owner of the one I posted is Wes Stone and it's one of Matt Smiley's old racers - restored.

I was posting because it's for sale at $15K, but I was seeing if others thought it was one of the nicest built 250R's out there.

I mean it's got just about everything the best as well as being very ROLL built.

The only things it's missing is Roll heel guards, Roll bumper and grab bar and it should probably have a Duncan motor rather than an LRD motor, but that's splitting hairs.

I'll have my full Walsh 250R next week so I'll put some pics of that and my full Roll Design Lobo up soon. Maybe I'll put some up of my brother's Laeger narrow Pro-Trax, too.

Why does the rear look like it is sitting so low? Also I hope you got all the hardware needed for the frame when you bought it!! Did you buy it new?

Thanks all. I bought the frame used, but new. The guy did not use it. I have most of all the hardware for it.

The rear is low, and I am still trying to figure it out. I need to measure my shock. I bought the shock and swinger together for the 88/89 frame. I also broke my 90 elbow that goes in the shock for the line and adjuster res.. Maybe from the oil and gas out of the shock? NOt sure yet..

I will be back working on the 250R during the christmas break, so I will have to measure that rear shock.

Any other suggestions on why the rear would be so low.

Thanks for the feedback.

I'm guessing the reason it's sitting so low is because you have the wrong length rear shock.

If that were my frame, it would be hard to ride on it being that it's still new and almost a work of art. But if I did ride it and build it up I'd be making it as much aluminum as possible. Aluminum swingarm, kicker, pedal, shifter, baja rims and GNCC tires, front and rear grab bars, bars, front and rear hubs/spindles, you name it, if they made it aluminum for the 250R I'd have it. It'd be so light - maybe even an aluminum drag axle or at least hollow axle.

among a few little other things ...its also missing the quick fill tank or lid ...& he did not run flex bars...

that's back when the GNCC's worth traveling to watch & race 'em;)
